Xenophon

Diogenes Laertius (T 1) records a poet of Old Comedy as the seventh known Xenophon. His existence is confirmed by the presence of that name on the list of victors at the Lenaea (T 2). At this point the list is presenting winners at that festival in the 390s. Xenophon was thus a very minor poet of the last phase of Old Comedy, whose plays had ceased to be remembered.
