In 54 BC Marcellus was among those who supported M. Aemilius Scaurus (139) (TLRR 295; cf. 148).

In 52 BC Marcellus was among those who supported T. Annius Milo (138) in the court cases of that year (TLRR 306, 309), when Cicero defended Milo in the main trial (Cic. Mil.).

Magnus (111), his father-in-law. After the battle of Pharsalus, Faustus fought in Africa and was killed there after the battle of Thapsus (46 BC).

In 54 BC Faustus assisted his stepbrother M. Aemilius Scaurus (139) in a trial for the recovery of extorted money by offering a testimonial for his character (TLRR 295; cf. 148).
