Spanius in 2.41, Fuficulanus and Faventinus in 2.74, Julianus in 3.25, Silia or Pilia (by my conjecture) in 10.65.11, and Cydas’ Hermeros in 10.83. Their reality may be doubted, and even if they were real, he cannot have expected his readers all over the world to recognize them, to say nothing of posterity.
